Micromax has taken the mobile market by storm with the launch of its Canvas Series. It is now competing to be the market leader with the likes of top notch MNC brands, such as Samsung, Sony, HTC, etc. What started from being just a budget phone maker Micromax has elevated its level and is aiming to be one of the premium brands in India. Introduction of Canvas 4 A210 is a one giant leap in the same direction. At the first glance Canvas A210 appears to be an amalgamation of a bunch of popular phones (Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5). It seems like owing two phones at the price of just one.

Simple yet elegant, the device features aluminium finish at the edge that looks quite classy. One can easily fall in love with the Canvas A210 at its first look. Powered by Android Jelly Bean OS, it is really a smart option to own. The device is packed with a quad-core 1.2GHz processor and 1GB RAM. To accentuate viewing pleasure the phone is provided with a 5 inch IPS LCD. The device sports a 5MP camera on front for stunning video chat experience. To capture crystal clear images and shoot videos in HD, it has a 13MP back camera. For connectivity you can choose from USB 3.0, GPRS, EDGE, 3G and Wi-Fi options. To enhance its user experience and to make life easy, Micromax has introduced the ‘Gesture Control Feature’ in its latest launched smartphone. This feature has garnered a lot of interest and generated curiosity among its buyers. Its smart gesture option could be enabled from the settings and allows the user to perform a variety of tasks like ‘blow-to-unlock’, looking away from a video to pause, dial a number by bringing it to close to ear after choosing a contact, change the profile to silent by flipping the phone upside, and switch on the speaker phone on a call when you turn the phone upside down.


Fusion of Old and New Features

Besides new, innovative features, Canvas A210 is preloaded with the basic features that come with most of the smarthphones available in the market today. It includes FM radio, music player, 2000 mAh battery, 16GB built in storage, 1080p HD video playback and 32GB expandable memory.

The Canvas A210 is Micromax’s first attempt in the mid-range smartphones. Let’s see how well it stands the test of time.
